*What is the cost of neurofeedback?
*Do you accept insurance?
We do not accept insurance. However, we do provide receipts with all the necessary information to turn into your insurance company for reimbursement. Many insurance companies do reimburse for neurofeedback.
*Are there side effects?
The patient may feel some fatigue or a brief headache. This is actually important information for the psychologist as it indicates that the neurofeedback is working, it just needs to be adjusted.
*What exactly are you doing to my brain?
We are not doing anything to the brain. We are simply providing feedback to the brain in the moment. For example, during the neurofeedback training you may watch a movie or a Netflix show and when your brain waves are not operating at the optimal speed the brightness will fade. When the brain waves are operating at the optimal speed the brightness looks like it would if you were watching it at home and, in most cases, you will also hear faint noises, or reward tones. You don’t do anything to make the neurofeedback happen. Your brain simply wants to work for these rewards.
*How long is a neurofeedback training session?
They usually last between 40-50 minutes.
*I know a little bit about neurofeedback; what kind do you use?
We use Brain Master equipment with amplitude training, Alpha-Theta, live z-score, sloreta, and sloreta with coherence.
*What is the success rate?
75-80% of patients are able to clinically improve their symptoms by over 50%.
